Characteristics
Diamond top: Class IV pressure-treated maritime pine is an excellent choice. It is economical, durable, and suitable for prolonged contact with soil and humidity. Its resistance to rot, mould, wood-eating insects, and fungi is well established, making it the material of choice for exterior developments where contact with earth and water is inevitable. It is ideal for installing gates and fences, as well as for creating earth-retention structures.

Class 4 treatment involves impregnating the pine post with an ecological preservative product certified CTB-B+, combining sterilization, vacuum and pressure. The objective of the class IV treatment is to make the wood impervious to biological attacks (fungi, insects, termites) and unfavourable climatic conditions (humidity, frost, sun). It is ideal for outdoor uses, in direct contact with the ground or water, and is manifested by a specific green tint of the wood, likely to fade over time.
Unlike untreated pine posts or those treated with Class II and III, Class IV-treated pine posts are remarkable for their endurance against various outdoor elements, making them practical for all landscaping and outdoor projects.
Thanks to its protection against rot, wood-eating pests, mould, thermal fluctuations, humidity, UV rays and physical impacts, the class 4 pine post is recommended for any wooden construction in areas infested with termites, high humidity levels or both.
