These GATEMATE® drop bolts and all the components are "hot-dip" galvanised, resulting in a thick 60-micron coating that provides high protection against rust and corrosion, even in harsh environments.
These bolts are easy to install with the supplied galvanised, rust-resistant screws. They are ideal for securing gates and doors in both open and closed positions. They suit domestic, agricultural, and industrial exterior and interior applications. The drop depth can be adjusted by placing the top holding plate higher or lower on the gate. This makes our drop bolts ideal for doors and gates with a large base gap. They can be installed vertically or horizontally and are supplied with a retaining sleeve.
We strongly recommend using an extra-long receiving socket when installing a pair of gates with two bolts (see below).
