These GATEMATE® drop bolts and all the components are "hot-dip" galvanised, resulting in a thick 60-micron coating that provides high protection against rust and corrosion, even in harsh environments.
These bolts are ideal for securing heavy gates and doors in both open and closed positions. They are suitable for domestic, equine, agricultural, and industrial areas, both in exterior and interior applications.
The drop depth can be adjusted by placing the top holding plate higher or lower on the gate, making them ideal for doors and gates with a large base gap. They can be installed vertically or horizontally and are supplied with a retaining sleeve.
We suggest laying the gate or door flat when installing the bolt; this makes it considerably easier to align each retaining plate, especially on the 600mm length. Quality PZ galvanized screws are supplied.
We recommend using an extra-long receiving socket when installing a pair of gates with two bolts (see below) or our closing sets for gates.
