These GATEMATE® drop bolts and all the components are "hot-dip" galvanised, resulting in a thick 60-micron coating that provides high protection against rust and corrosion, even in harsh environments.
- These bolts are ideal for securing heavy gates and doors in both open and closed positions. They are suitable for domestic, equine, agricultural, and industrial areas, in exterior and interior applications.
- The drop depth can be modified by positioning the top retaining plate higher or lower on the gate, making these suitable for doors and gates with a substantial base gap. They include a floor sleeve and a square receiving plate.
- We suggest laying the gate or door flat when installing the bolt; this makes it considerably easier to align each retaining plate, especially on the 600mm length. Quality PZ galvanised screws are supplied.
- We recommend using an extra-long receiving socket when installing a pair of gates with two bolts (see below). Alternatively, you can view our closing sets for gates. The long receiving socket can also be utilised with a single bolt.
