Compatible with all our midsummer English gates and similar gates with a thickness of 70-75mm.
This adjustable hinge set allows the installer to raise or lower the gate (s) during installation, which is especially helpful when hanging a pair of gates. The gate or gates can also be raised when opening onto raised ground. Adjustments can also be made in the future if gate sag occurs.
- For gates opening into raised ground
- Installing hooks with plates on the face or rear of the post allows the gate or gates to hang from the front or back. If there are no obstructions and the ground level permits, the gate can swing open a full 180°. This applies to both single and double-gate installations.
- At 90°, the end of the gate will have risen approximately 75mm per metre length of the gate, so a 3.00m gate will have been raised at the furthest point from its hanging end by approximately 225mm. Additionally, the gate automatically returns to its closed position due to gravity. This is due to the hinge's axis of rotation relative to the gate's centre of gravity.
